Trees will be reminder of the 8th assembly

WCC general secretary Konrad Raiser (pictured) took time out from a crowded assembly schedule to plant a seedling on The Green near the Worship Tent.

The small acacia was one of three trees planted on Saturday in order to grow into a enduring reminder of the presence of the 8th assembly on the University of Zimbabwe campus.

Joining Raiser in the tree-planting ceremony were WCC central committee moderator Aram I and assembly planning committee moderator Jonas Jonson and University of Zimbabwe vice-chancellor Graham Hill.
