Ioan Sauca, Ph.D.,
Director since January 2002 (Romanian
Orthodox Church, Romania)
Father
Ioan Sauca is an Orthodox priest from Romania. His
field of expertise is systematic theology with a
special emphasis on Orthodox missiology and ecumenism.
Father Sauca's post-graduate studies included the
Graduate School of Ecumenical Studies 1984-1985 at
the Ecumenical Institue of Bossey before two years in
the multicultural, multifaith milieu of the Selly Oak
Colleges and the University of Birmingham in the
United Kingdom. In Romania he taught mission and
ecumenism at the Orthodox Theological Faculty in
Sibiu. In 1990 he was given responsibility by the
Patriarchate for ecumenical church relations, press
and communications and religious education. In 1994
he joined the World Council of Churches as executive
secretary for Orthodox Studies and Relationships in
Mission in Unit II - Churches in Mission: Health,
Education, Witness.
Gosbert Byamungu, Ph.D.,
Professor since December 1999 (Roman Catholic Church,
Tanzania)
Father
Gosbert Byamungu is a Roman Catholic Priest from
Tanzania. After pursuing graduate studies in his
country, he subsequently studied theology at the
Urban University in Rome, later making specialization
in Biblical studies at the Pontifical Biblical
Institute and the Pontifical Gregorian University in
Rome, where he obtained his doctorate. Fr. Gosbert
has taught systematic philosophy at the National
Philosophical Institute of Ntungamo in Tanzania, and
has had pastoral experiences in Italy, Germany and
the USA. Prior to his appointment by the Vatican to
work with the World Council of Churches, he was
working as pastor in his home country. His special
focus in Biblical Hermeneutics is intertextuality.

Prof. Dr. Theo Witvliet, Ph.D. (Uniting Protestant Churches in the Netherlands)
Prof. Dr Theo Witvliet is Emeritus Professor of Systematic Theology at the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Field of expertise: Social Ethics, Liberation Theology.
Prof. Dr. Bert Hoedemaker, Ph.D. (Uniting Churches in the Netherlands)
Prof. Dr Bert Hoedemaker is Emeritus Professor of Ecumenics and Mission at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. He was a member of the Faith and Order commission from 1983 to 1996. He is a minister of the Uniting Churches in the Netherlands. Field of expertise: Mission in the context of secularization and globalization.
Anu Talvivaara, M.Ed.,
Coordinator for Administrative Academic Affairs since
January 1999 (Orthodox Church of Finland, Finland)
Ms Anu
Talvivaara studied first administration and marketing
and did her post-graduate studies in science of
education, special pedagogies and religious education
at the University of Joensuu, Finland. She has worked
in the WCC as Executive Secretary for Youth Team 1990-96
and Associate Director of the Office for Income
Coordination and Development 1996-1998 before joining
Bossey. She has also served as the General Secretary
of SYNDESMOS, The World Fellowship of Orthodox youth
organizations 1989-1992.
Andreas
Waldvogel, M.A. in Theology, Librarian since July
2002 (Federation of Swiss Protestant Churches,
Switzerland)
Rev.
Andreas Waldvogel is an ordained pastor of the
Reformed Church, Switzerland. He completed his
theological studies and pastoral training at the
University of Basel, Faculty of Reformed Theology.
1988-89 he was engaged in a ecumenical ministry
abroad, as Director of Arab student's hostel in
Israel. In 1990-2000 he served the Reformed Church of
Switzerland as a parish pastor, before doing post-graduate
studies in Library and Information Science in order
to become librarian.
Stephanie Krause, Vicar (2005-2006)
Stephanie Krause is ordained pastor of the Evangelical-Lutheran Church in Württemberg (Germany). She studied Protestant Theology in Bethel, Berlin and Tübingen. 2003-2005 she lived and worked as vicar in a small village in her home church. She is sent to the Ecumenical Institute Bossey by the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD).
