English as a Tool for Ecumenical Formation: Intensive English Summer Course 1 July - 30 September 2006 Over the last decades, English has become an important, widespread, and almost indispensable tool of communication among people around the world. This is also true for the Ecumenical Movement both in terms of communication as well as in the field of publications. Knowledge of English has become almost essential for the serious study of ecumenics. In order to respond to this, and to requests from the Churches, Bossey will organise an Intensive English Summer Course on an annual basis. The course is particularly designed to equip those students who wish to attend the Graduate School of Ecumenical Studies with an appropriate proficiency in English. However, the course is open to all people of the ecumenical family who are interested in learning English terminology specific to the field of ecumenics. During the Course, the students will also be
involved in a process of ecumenical formation both
through the practice of English used in some important
documents of the ecumenical movement and through life in
community and worship.
Deadline for applications: 31 January, 2006 The application kit can be downloaded as PDF-File. You need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader.
