Where in the world is Bossey?

Switzerland is composed of 26 cantons, or states which act as unified little countries to form the Helvetic Confederation (CH), or Switzerland. What are these cantons?

As shown above, Bossey is located in the little isthmus in between the two northwest "islands" of the Canton de Geneve, one of which includes Celigny.

A few distances:

  • Bossey is 171 km (93 miles) southwest of the capital of Switzerland, Bern (BE); 2 hours by car.
  • Bossey is 22 km (13.7 miles) northwest of Geneva (GE); 15 minutes by car.
  • It is 270 km (167 miles) southwest of the metropolis of Zurich (ZH); 3.5 hours by car or train.
