Where in the
world is Bossey? 
Bossey
is located approximately in the middle of the green
isthmus in the southwestern region of Switzerland.
Switzerland
is in the middle of Western Europe, bordered by Austria,
France, Italy, and Germany.
Switzerland is composed of 26 cantons, or
states which act as unified little countries to form the
Helvetic Confederation (CH), or Switzerland. What are
these cantons? 
Bossey is
in the Canton de Vaud, near the Canton de Geneve.

As shown
above, Bossey is located in the little isthmus in between
the two northwest "islands" of the Canton de
Geneve, one of which includes Celigny.

Switzerland, Bern (BE); 2 hours by car.

is 22 km (13.7 miles) northwest of Geneva (GE);
15 minutes by car.

Zurich (ZH); 3.5 hours by car or train.
How to get to Bossey?

Bossey is located only 15 kilometers from Cointrin
international airport in Geneva, the Ecumenical Institute
can be reached within a quarter of an hour by car, taking
the motorway direction for Lausanne. The nearest exit is
Coppet-Divonne. As you leave the motorway, take the
direction towards Divonne and after about 100 meters turn
right and enter the village of Chavanne-de-Bogis. As you
drive through the village, you will see a signpost
indicating a right turn towards the Ecumenical Institute.
You can also reach the Institute by using public transportion: From the CFF trainstation in Nyon or Coppet, you can take the bus to Céligny village. From there, walk to the Institute (ca. 15 minutes). From Geneva Cointrin airport the easiest way to get to the Institute of Bossey is to take a taxi.
